SB: The world economy in 2020 will need 600 million new jobs


The World Bank in its World Development Report introduced yesterday also stated that one of the primary goals of global governments should be the development of the labor market and job opportunities, support for research, the empowerment of women and the overall effort to prevent the spread of uncertainty. SB estimated the global economy was between 2005 to 2020 to create around 600 million new jobs in order to absorb the tide of youth into productive age. The main risks are that the demographic changes, the continuing development of technology and the continuing impact of the international financial crisis. Countries that are able to cope with these problems and to fulfill adequately the labor market, recorded a dramatic development in the future living standards, labor productivity and the development of cohesion in society.

The main burden of job creation will lie on the countries in Asia and sub-Saharan Africa.
