Inflation will rise by 2 to 2.5 percent, estimates CMKOS and wants at least the same increase in salaries


PRAGUE (MEDIAFAX) - Czech-Moravian Confederation of Trade Unions (CMKOS) published on Wednesday forecasts of inflation next year. It should be between 2 to 2.5 percent, this value will be the lower limit for salary increases, said union president Joseph KOVO Středula.

"A significant cause mobility decisions of the Chamber of Deputies, how will the value-added tax," said Chairman of the interval of the largest Czech trade union. MEPs will vote is due to the VAT increase of one percentage point in both rates. If this amendment is approved, the two tax rates could unite in the new year to 17.5 percent.

The value of two to two and a half percent will also lower limit below which no trade unionists want to go in negotiations on salary increases."If the company is successful, there is no reason to be in demand on wages whatever sober," added the president, with the rise of the unions confidently say.

Středula recalled the words of the chiefs of the Czech National Bank, according to which the government should save, not businesses and citizens. "In the area calls for increased wages, overtook us as the Federal Republic of Germany," concluded the President.

Companies that it will be economically wrong, do not want to confront the unions with high wage growth.

According to government estimates inflation will rise next year by 2.2 percent.
