The European Banking Authority (EBA) yesterday after the conclusion of European trading published complete and final results of the stress tests, according to which European banks had to increase the core capital adequacy ratio to at least 30 June 2012 at a level of 9%. Complete numbers did not bring any significant new information compared to those that were published in July in the preliminary results. Out of 27 banks, which was last year identified the lack of capital, 24 of them met the required threshold, three banks (one Italian and two Cypriot) now in the process of restructuring. Total capital of banks increased by 115.7 billion vs. required 76 billion.More than three quarters of this increase comes from an increase in capital, the rest is the work of reducing risk-weighted assets and other measures.
