The European Commission yesterday at a press conference announced that all nuclear reactors in Europe underwent stress tests. On the other hand, were revealed shortcomings which will cost an estimated EK 10-25 billion. European Commissioner for Energy Gunther Oettinger then said that nuclear power plants could insure against possible accident. Individual states should by the end of the year to submit a plan when and how they will eliminate deficiencies.

According to the Czech SONS in the report are not Dukovany power plant and any changes to those already required for domestic stress tests carried out six months ago. These adjustments are by 30-40% finished and should be covered by the regular budget for investment in maintenance of these plants. Communications Commission but sound so that the Commission is seeking more influence on the regulation of nuclear energy in Member States and to introduce new regulations. Perceive it as slightly negative for the whole sector.
