Insider: Money from Pandur collected the Social Democrats, said police Dalík

PRAGUE (MEDIAFAX) - An accused lobbyist Marek Dalik said during police questioning that money as a contract for the purchase of Pandur armored personnel carriers were given the Social Democrats. In Tuesday's newspaper brought Insider, referring to its source familiar with the case.

Marek Dalik, whom police accused of fraud in connection with a contract for Pandurs, according to the newspaper spoke at the first hearing. He pointed to the then ruling Social Democrats, led by Prime Minister Jiri Paroubek.

Suspicion, however, also raises the Democrats over civil, since it was up to the government of Mirek Topolanek, who has caught the end of the contract.

Insider also reported that police checks whether the CSSD and the ODS representatives conceded a commission, but despite several investigations still evidence of political corruption does not.

Marek Dalik was arrested Sunday in Prague on Monday accused of attempted fraud. Police and after more than two years of investigation of alleged request for a bribe of 18 million euros, which was in 2007 Dalík present at the meeting with representatives of the company Steyr Pandur military said that, did not receive sufficient evidence that would Dalík act on behalf of someone else.

A bribe had Dalík Steyr managers promise help in negotiating the contract, the purchase of 107 Pandur at 14.4 billion crowns government of Mirek Topolanek (ODS) finally approved.

Dalik so in the case of conviction faces up to 10 years in prison.
