Kalousek confirmed tax refund for retailers and hospitality damaged methanol affair

PRAGUE (MEDIAFAX) - Finance Minister Miroslav Kalousek (TOP 09) fulfilled his promise and decided that due to the methanol scandal get some innkeepers and merchants refund taxes on alcohol in the form of credit on income tax. Kalousek has previously explained that the refund will only apply to retailers, for example shops or just restaurants. Is not expected that in warehouses would be a problem of tracing origin of alcohol and that there would then have to pour.

Retailers and restaurateurs who want to qualify for the waiver of payment obligations on the Income Tax Act, must lodge a tax verification and disposal assisted alcohol competent customs office at the latest by 15 December this year.

The system of refunds should operate according to the decision until the end of 2017. The Minister also previously estimated that such compensation may cover one to three million liters of alcohol.
