Antique Dealers Association: Collectors began to favor weight jewelry over quality


PRAGUE (MEDIAFAX) - Meissen porcelain or Art Nouveau jewelry waiting to be interested in the Antique Fair. Will buy at fixed prices without auction surcharges, said Simon Šustková from the organizing Association of Antique Dealers.

Most desirable works of art in today's art market appears on the thirtieth Autumn Antique Fair. As the theme for this year platform meeting the laity and the public chose the behavior of collectors and investors for the last ten years. The mapping of the Czech and foreign markets.

The fair will be held from 8 to 11 November in Prague's New Town Hall building. Collectors and lovers of beautiful archival can enjoy the quality Meissen porcelain, minor and major luxury jewelry designers, designer furniture and unique pieces by famous Czech Art Nouveau glass glassworks. The show will proceed mainly in the 19th and 20 century.

As for the collector's behavior, Antique Dealers Association reported loss of interest in classical subjects. Also, foreign interest waned and the domestic market depends more on Czech purchases.
