ELECTION 2012: The failure of ODS in the election falls on my head, confessed Petr Necas

PRAGUE (MEDIAFAX) - Prime Minister and Chairman of the Civic Democrats admitted that his side failed and experiencing large outflows of voters. He added that it is extremely happy that the Communists did not repeat the success of the first round of the regional and Senate elections.

Outcome of the second round of Senate elections marked ODS chairman Petr Necas for the failure. "The average income is seven to ten seats. We defended four, so it is clear that we have failed," counted the Prime Minister. He added that the Civic Democrats accept the opinion of voters with humility and work to remedy. He declined to disclose how he wants to attract voters back. "I have an idea, but announcing it to his spolustraníkům at Brno Congress," he added.

He admitted that the blame for the failure of the Senate election falls on his head. "In every election, the county and the Senate, of course, responsible leadership of the party and most of all by its president," he said. Currently, however, no plans to derive any personal consequences. "Two weeks before the election Congress ODS it was nonsense, there will decide everything. Moreover, I do not think that the failure of the ODS and the slump caused only by its president, it's not so simple. If it were, simply revoke the President and it's done," joked Prime Minister although much reason to be merry not. His position in addition to losing the election threatens six rebel deputies in ODS, who accuse him move away from the traditional values ??of the party.

Necas has a different opinion as to why the flux of ODS voters. "Our supporters will forgive us compromises and concessions program. What we forgive, is disunity and internal dissent. Compromise is indeed necessary foundation coalition government, without it you can not," mentioned party chairman. On the contrary, the rebels, but still loyally voting as individuals Hynek Fajmon or Boris Stastny believe that ODS losing position because it leaves the right-wing agenda and dissolves in the central politics.

Civic democracy had in the second round of Senate elections altogether ten candidates, most of them fought with the rival of the CSSD. Jaroslav Kubera succeeded in Teplice, Tomas Grulich in Prague 12, Filipiová in Prague 8 and Jaroslav Zeman in Jablonec.

One of the most duels was the one in Prague 8, where the opposite was Filipiová of ODS and George Dolejš of Communists. Dolejš advanced to the second round of the first places to start straight FILIPIOVÁ had hundreds of votes. How the Communist candidate in the capital marked a historical and political scientists alarming. In the second round, the situation completely turned Filipiová Dolejs overwhelmingly defeated. "The people who I met during this week, told me that the first round did not vote because they are just fed up with politicians. Horrified But then that is supposed to represent a communist and went to the polls. I won in the second round more votes than in the first, it is unusual. participation between the first and second round usually declines, "said Filipiová the Saturday election press conference.

ODS will have fifteen seats in the Senate, which is party time low. The upper house, however, had already had a leftist majority. "So qualitatively change the situation there, the Senate will just keep sending back the House legislation," said Petr Necas.
