In 3Q sold 169.2 million smartphones, Nokia also lost


Exploratory Gartner today released its survey of the development of mobile phone sales, respectively. smartphones in 3Q. Worldwide sales of mobile phones fell by 3.1% to almost 428 million smartphones segment, however, already owns almost 40%, while sales increased by 46.9% to 169.2 million units. In this segment retained its dominant position Apple (AAPL), together with Samsung, when combined control market share of 46.5%. Samsung leads with 55 million smartphones sold, respectively. market share of 32.5%. Apple controls 14% share with 23.6 million smartphones sold. Mention may share Research in Mottion (RIMM) with a share of 5.2% in the segment.

Nokia (NOK) was in the period to sell 7.2 million smartphones and its market position in this segment dropped down to 7th place. In 2Q while still recorded 3.pozici. Gartner points out, however, the arrival of the Lumia model, which could in the current Q decline has stopped. The total market share of Nokia in the mobile phone market fell from 23.9% to 19.2% and thereby maintains 2.pozici. Samsung its leading position in 2Q confirmed when its share was 22.9% (prior year was 18.7%). Apple then increased its market share from 3.9% to 5.5% and is thus even 3rd place.Potato medal belongs ZTE in global sales to 3.9% share.
