Pension reform at the start - definitely YES said only 2% of the population

As was shown in the latest research on the Golden Crown, people's interest in joining the second pillar pension reform after can be started from January 2013, is still low. A total of personal savings in the 2nd Pillar intends to attend 13% of the population, 2% of people are already firmly decided, the other 11% of people consider their input as likely. On the contrary, more than half of the respondents to the 2nd join Pillar wants it definitely rejects 31% of the population and their participation rather excludes a further 27% of people. The research was conducted by Ipsos on 15 to 20 November on a representative sample of 1013 respondents. It took place in connection with the Forum Golden Crown "Pension reform at the start," which will be held on Thursday 29November in the TOP HOTEL Praha.

"Research clearly shows that pension reform has lost support among the people, which two years ago at the onset of government should. Comparing the two kinds of research 2010 and This year, then two years ago, while 54% of people with the introduction of the second pillar agreed, now it is only 6%. In addition to those who reject the second pillar, the fifth of people who would like to change it, "says Pavel Dolezal, director of the Golden Crown.

In connection with the entry into the second pillars are people most afraid of possible failure or tunneling pension fund. These concerns are shared by 30% of respondents. There is also uncertainty regarding the preservation of the existing conditions of the reform, 20% of people are worried that the next government secondPillar canceled and another 15% of the population is afraid of possible rule changes over time savings. Less than a tenth of respondents are concerned that savings can not be terminated. Another important reason is that there is a weakening of the first continuous pillar, thinks that 5% of people and for 4% of the reason for refusal of entry that the amount saved for them uninteresting. No worries you in connection with the entry into the second pillars not allowed 5% of respondents.

"People are not blind or deaf, it is therefore not surprising that most of the concerns are not connected to the second pillar to pillar setup, but rather with the overall political and economic environment in the Czech Republic - lack of confidence in the safety ofmoney in the funds, the risk of cancellation in the event of victory of the left in elections, etc. "   adds to the research results Macků Thomas, Research & CommunicationDirector Ipsos that research realized.

More than half the people (54%) with the introduction of the second pillars disagree, almost a quarter of people have no opinion on this issue. Two years ago, the idea of which is based on the second pillar, agreed more than half of the people, now the second pillar as large part of the population declines. This is related to the total support pension reform. While in 2010 supported the reform of the 80% of people agree with her now only 53% of people.

Most people experience a lack of information. 55% of respondents would like to know about pension reform more details. People usually rely on them for everything you need to enter the second Pillar explains financial advisers and intermediaries to lean to 46%. On the other hand, another 38% in the integrity and objectivity of the information provided by the consultants believe. 57% of people want to find out information from other sources.

"The research clearly shows that people lack the necessary information. I would like to note that in our previous research two years ago 96% of people said that they expect the government to reform the explanatory campaign. About that never happened. So it seems that the whole reform will now have to advise pension companies, which can not but somehow convince people to save for their retirement is important. It will be so great for people to have confidence but very difficult, "Paul says Dolezal, director of the Golden Crown.

Michal Straka, Product & Business DevelopmentDirector Ipsos adds:

"Relying on a more detailed explanation of pension reform from financial advisors and brokers are mainly younger people. At the same time, however, this information will be determined primarily on the Internet and specialized financial servers. "

Almost two thirds of the population (60%), saving for retirement, fearing worsening situation. Another third of respondents planning to save money in the future. The dominant financial instrument is saving for retirement pension.

Gradually increase the amount of money that people perceive as a minimum level of income.   Almost half of the population (47%) required a minimum pension of between 10 to 14 000 CZK, approximately one third of respondents sees minimal border between 14-16 000 CZK.   The amount of the minimum pension increases naturally with age and education.
