UK - number of requests for support in November unexpectedly fell, the number of unemployed was the lowest since 2001

Number of applications for unemployment in November fell by 3,000 to 1.58 million. Market yet counted rather they grow by about 7000th Number of Britons out of work a calculated according to international standards decreased during the three months to the end of October by 82,000 to 2.51 million, which was the biggest drop since 2001.
The unemployment rate remained flat at 7.8%. For comparison, the entire euro area average is 11.7%, USA 7.7% and Japan 4.2%.

The number of people of working age during that quarter increased by 40,000 to a total of 29.6 million.

Wages grew in the last 3 months by 1.8%, excluding bonuses, then salaries rose by 1.7% compared to the previous 1.9%.

It is estimated that the government canceled in 2018 due to budget cuts and savings of up to 1 million jobs. In 3Q states in government fell by 24,000 to 5.75 million, the lowest since 2002.
Conditions in the private sector rose by 65,000 to 23.9 million people.

British Pound responded to the report of mild reinforcement, 10-year government bond yield rose 3 basis points to 1.83%.
