U.S. - Number of new requests for support last week fell more than expected (13 December 2012)


The number of new requests for support in unemployment in the U.S. last week fell by 29,000 to a total of 343,000 cases. The main reason for high volatility in the past few weeks, the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy impact on the U.S. labor market. Market included only a slight decline to 369,000 applications compared with 370,000 from last weekend. During the months since Hurricane Sandy, the number of new applications gradually by 108 000th

The number of Americans receiving long-term support
