UK - retail sales in November, surprisingly only stagnated

Retail sales in the UK in November, including fuel sales only stagnated compared to a decline of 0.7% in October. The market, however, the average estimated sales growth of 0.4%. Stagnation of total sales were mainly driven drop in sales in supermarkets, where there was a decrease of 1.5%, which was the most since February 2011. Stronger sales growth was recorded mainly on the contrary electronics retailers, which helped significantly sale of tablets and smart phones. Shopping appetite British also dampens the overall uncertainty about the future development of European issues, inflation and price increases in energy costs.
Compared total retail sales increased by 0.9%.

Excluding energy sales, retail sales rose by 0.1% mom respectively by 2% year on year.

Revenues from online retailers grew in November and the total sales already account for 10.8%. British in November bought on the internet every week with a total value of goods mil.GBP 711, which corresponds to annual growth of 8%.

Sales of household goods grew by 3.8%, sales of food, clothing and footwear decreased in all cases by 0.1%.

Inflation rate in November was 2.7%. Long-term goal is BoE 2%.
