Shopping centers in the Czech Republic most of Central Europe, analysts say


PRAGUE (MEDIAFAX) - Shopping Malls In the past five years in the Czech Republic gained great popularity, but the commercial market is already glutted with them and according to analysts, there is no room for further significant expansion. A third of the Czech population lives even within 15 minutes. Most "white" spaces can be found in the Pardubice region, in the northern part of the Olomouc region (Jeseníky) or in the border areas.

Expansion of shopping centers in the Czech Republic peaked in 2008, when it opened eight large and ten smaller centers and retail parks. Further development of the affected financial crisis. The market came in 2011 to the point zero, when the first time in history has opened no new shopping center. The main moments are calculated only opening Harp Gallery in Prague 9, finishing second phase of Forum Liberec and 2 phase Fashion Arena in Prague. The year 2012 brought a slight recovery. The first and most important airplane in March became the long-awaited opening of the Forum New Carolina in Ostrava flat 58,000 meters square.

The most common representation to the shopping centers of fashion retail, apparel, textile and fashion accessories. At the end of 2011 accounted for nearly a third of their share of the total number of deals. Fashion is not the main driver of expansion, as evidenced by the second of footwear and leather goods. In third place are jewelry and gifts.

Czech shopping centers are represented in the global organization of the Council of Shopping Centres (ICSC). The first results of the public traffic in spring 2012. Overall, shopping centers experienced a slight decline, with most losing Prague and the Moravian city, while the city received in Bohemia.
