Germany - exports in November fell more than expected trade surplus rose


German foreign trade in November increased its surplus on 17 October from 15.7 mld.EUR mld.EUR. Current account balance of payments, which monitors all cross-border flows, in November rose to 15.3 in October compared to 13.2 mld.EUR mld.EUR.

German exports in November declined by 3.4% mom, compared to the October increase of 0.2%. The November decline was strongest in the last year. Market drop is estimated at 0.5%.
Imports in November fell by 3.7%.

The German economy is facing a sharp decline in demand for its goods from the euro area countries. This decline is offset by the increase in demand from China and the U.S..
