JSW waiting in 1Q 13 stable prices for coking coal

JSW, the largest local competitor NWR's coking coal market said that the prices of coking coal in Q1 2013 remain at the level of prices in 4Q 2012th JSW then expects coal production this year at 13.5 million tonnes against 13.46 million tonnes in 2012 (PAP).

This statement is in line with the development of coal prices in Asia, where the price of the highest quality coal (HCC) has slightly decreased from 170 USD / t to 165 USD / t, but the prices of lower quality (SSCC, PCI) remained stable or slightly increased. A similar development is expected also in prices of coking coal NWR (it would soon publish volumes in Q4 12 and Q1 prices at 13). In contrast, prices of coal at NWR is expected in fall 2013.
