Germany - corporate orders in December rose by more than expected


Business or factory orders in Germany in December, seasonally adjusted rise of 0.8% compared to the November decline of 1.8%. The market expected the result to the growth level of 0.7%.

For the full year 2012 orders declined year on year by 1.8%.

Significant improvement has come in the euro zone, though the volume of orders from the region grew by 7%.

Orders semi fell in December by 3.6%, orders for investment goods rose by the same level. Orders of consumer goods grew by 1.7%. Order backlog was higher than average.
