NWR: Steel production in the Czech Republic declined by 10%

Vice President of Branch Association of Iron and Steel Jaroslav Raab said that steel production in the Czech Republic last year fell by 10%. In 2011, steel production in the Czech Republic reached 5.5 million tons last year, according to the first estimate was only 5.07 miles tons. Raab this year expected to boost production, but production should not fall below 5.0 million tonnes (CTK)

This report confirms the weakness of the local steel market due to weak demand from the EU. Steel production drops double-digit pace since the second quarter of 2012 and we expect a stabilization at low levels during the first half of the 2013th This outlook does not provide much support especially koksovatelnému lower quality coal.
