Poland - industrial production positively surprised slight growth of 0.3%

Polish industrial production surprised positively slight growth of 0.3% year on year, while the market expected a decrease of 3%. It does not, in our opinion, Zen negative trend. Industry, that helped mainly mining and energy sectors, while manufacturing and construction remained in decline. A warning is also ongoing contraction index of purchasing managers indicated. Despite the better-than-expected data on industrial production still waiting for a rate cut at the March meeting of the central bank, mainly due to surprisingly low inflation. However, the market apparently took part expectations regarding the scope and pace of easing back, which was reflected mainly by strengthening the zloty up to 4.16.
