Moody's lowered the credit rating of top UK pound per 16měsíčním low against the euro

Moody's announced that it reduces the UK's credit rating from the highest level of Aaa to Aa1. The Agency also improved outlook from negative to stable earlier. The main reason for downgrading the overall deterioration in the macroeconomic outlook for the island country.

The British pound fell in response to the lowest against the dollar since July 2010, and compared to the euro has created a new 16měsíční minimum. Since the beginning of the pound against the dollar is losing about 5.9% and is second only to the Japanese yen, which has weakened by 6.8%.

Yields of 10-year British government bonds fell 2 basis points to 2.13%. Since the beginning of the British government bonds lost 2.1%, compared with a loss of 1.2% in the case of German bonds and -0.7% for U.S. Treasury bonds.

British economy in Q4 of last year, according to preliminary figures fell by 0.3%.
