U.S. - Consumer confidence in February grew above market expectations

Consumer Sentiment Index in the U.S. compiled Thomson Reuters / University of Michigan grew in February at 77.06 points compared to 73.8 points in January. Market estimated at 76.3 point improvement in the overall range of estimates from 74 to 78 points.

Average index during the recession in 2008/09 was around the level of 64.2 points over the previous 5 years, then to 89 points.

Partial evaluation of current conditions index rose to 89 points from 88 points tentatively estimated at the beginning of February.
Index of future expectations for the next six months rose to 70.2 points compared to 66.6 points in January. Preliminary data from the beginning of February, was published to 68.7 points.

Consumer Confidence Index compiled governmental Conference Board for February rose to 69.6 points and overcame so much in January and 58.4 points at the same time all expectations.

The average price of gasoline at the end of February was approximately $ 3.78 per gallon compared to $ 3.35 in January for a measure unit.
