China's foreign exchange reserves at the end of 2012 grew to 3.3 trillion, from +700% L.04

China's foreign exchange reserves at the end of 2012 amounted to 3.3 trillion U.S. dollars, an increase of 700% since 2004, and it far exceeds the growth rate of reserves of other countries and twice that exceeds the value of all the gold reserves held by the world in the balance sheets of all countries. China's reserves are full 30.2% of global foreign exchange reserves compared to 14% in 2004. Distance compared to the world in the form of twin Japan is roughly triple. It is estimated that about two thirds of Chinese reserves are kept in dollars and about quarter of the euro.

For comparison, the foreign exchange reserves of Brazil, Russia and India in this period grew "only" 400% of the total 1.1 trillion USD.

Gold price from 2004 to the present has increased by 263%.
