Producer price indices - February 2013

Mom, agricultural producer prices rose by 1.3%, industrial producer prices were unchanged. Construction work prices decreased by 0.1%, market services by 0.2%.
Year-Agricultural producer prices were higher by 15.6%, in industry by 1.3% and market services by 0.5%. Construction work prices were lower by 0.7%.

Monthly changes

Agricultural producer prices rose by 1.3%. Milk prices have increased by 0.6%, cereals by 2.0%, oil 2.6%, poultry by 3.0% and potatoes by 11.4%. Egg prices fell by 1.4%, fruit by 1.5%, 5.4%, pigs and vegetables by 8.2%.

Industrial producer prices were unchanged in total. More significant, only the prices of coke and refined petroleum products by 2.9%.A reduction in the level of industrial producer prices fall in prices will affect chemicals and chemical products by 1.1%, rubber, plastic and non-metallic mineral products by 0.6%, food products, beverages and tobacco by 0.3%. Lower prices were particularly meat and meat products by 1.5%.

Prices of construction works (estimated) and the prices of materials and products consumed in construction decreased by 0.1%.

Prices of market services in the business sector decreased by 0.2%. Prices fell for ground transportation by 1.6% and Legal and Accounting Services 1.4%. Prices for advertising and market research services grew by 0.2% and 1.4% on insurance. Market services prices excluding advertising services decreased by 0.2%.

Year comparison:

Agricultural producer priceswere higher by 15.6% (in January by 15.4%). In crop production, prices rose by 30.2%, the price of potatoes increased by 47.6%, vegetables by 47.5%, 36.1% for cereals and oilseeds by 17.7%. Fruit prices rose by 1.9%. In livestock production, prices were higher by 1.5%. Prices of poultry by 12.8% and 7.3% of cattle. Pig prices were higher by 3.8%, eggs by 3.0%. Milk prices fell by 5.1%.

Industrial producer prices up by 1.3% (in January by 1.4%). Above the price level was affected by rising prices of food products, beverages and tobacco by 4.1%, mainly animal feeds by 23.3% and meat and meat products by 4.8%. Higher prices of electricity, gas and steam by 3.7%, and chemicals and chemical products by 3.5%. Decreased prices of basic metals and fabricated metal products 1.8%, mining and quarrying 3.1% and coke and refined petroleum products by 1.4%.
Among the main industrial groupings, the highest prices of durable consumer goods by 2.0%.

Construction work prices were estimated lower by 0.7% (the same as in January). Prices of materials and products consumed in construction increased by 0.6% (in January by 0.7%).

Prices of market services in the business sphere were higher by 0.5% (in January fell by 1.5%). Price growth in advertising and market research services by 2.9% and services by 1.2% programming and architectural and engineering services by 0.4%. Lower prices for storage and transportation support services by 1.2% and prices for land transport by 1.6%. Market services prices excluding advertising services decreased by 0.1% (in January by 0.3%).

Industrial producer prices in the EU - January 2013 *

In the European Union (EU27), according to data released by Eurostat, industrial producer prices in mom grew by 0.6% (in December fell by 0.2%). Among the countries for which data are available, prices increased the most in Estonia by 8.0% in Romania, 1.9% and Lithuania by 1.3%. In the Czech Republic has increased prices by 1.1%, Germany 0.8%, Slovak 0.5% and Austria by 0.1%. In Poland, prices fell by 0.1%. Prices dropped the most in Bulgaria by 0.8% and Netherlands 0.5%.

Previous year, prices in the EU27 rose in January by 1.8% (in December by 1.9%). The highest growth rates in Estonia by 10.0% in Romania, 6.6% in Belgium by 5.4%. The Slovak prices rose by 3.1%, Germany 1.7%, in the Czech Republic by 1.4% and Austria by 0.5%. In Poland, the prices did not change. The highest decrease in prices was recorded in Sweden by 0.9% and in Hungary by 0.3%.
