Clash of Sprint - Softbank will improve their initial offer

Japan's Softbank in response to a rival bid by Dish Networks to acquire leading U.S. telecommunications company Sprit Nextel announced that it does not intend to raise its initial offer for 20.1 mld.USD. Softbank, the third largest wireless operator in Japan. According to an unnamed source close to the company's management, the company will focus on its existing plans for Sprint. Possible future reaction, however, not preclude Softbank.

Dish Network has prepared the competing offer for Sprint 25.5 mld.USD. Keeping Sprint in October last year confirmed the negotiations for the sale of 70% in the hands of the Japanese Softbank. The under prior agreements still expects the acquisition will be carried out as planned, ie by 1 July this year.

Dish said its offer includes a premium of some 13% over the range of Japanese companies. If Sprint leans on the side of the new jobs will have to pay the Japanese company "painful" in the amount of 600 million USD.
